Another great month of learning and development with the Hallway team to close out 2023.
Aaron completed the last Executive Learning session with the directors on December 20th, which was a great complement to the individual coaching we are doing now.
All four directors have taken an active and eager role in their development through the coaching sessions and have learned about their communication styles, strengths and areas for development. We’ve examined long term goals, daily habits, conflict management, and how to best integrate into the overall Hallway team.
We have all the candidates identified for the Frontline Leader Course and have the first session (a doubled session) scheduled at the end of the month. We’re really excited to get to work with this group.
In January, we will continue with monthly coaching sessions for each of the directors, initiate the Frontline Leader Course, and will take some consulting time to review team dynamics with all four directors- this is a follow up to the DISC assessments that each director took. We will dive into how to best leverage each director’s communication style to make the team even better.

I’m grateful for another opportunity to share the work the Hallway team is putting into their development. Below are a few snippets about what occurred in January. As I mentioned when we met after December, I will share this update with each month to keep you apprised of everything. I am happy to deliver this report in person, but I wanted to be respectful of your time.
Coaching continues with each of the directors and they are all navigating their development in different ways. With the exception of Morgan, each has completed three sessions (the third for Morgan is on the 13th). We’ve reviewed their DISC assessments, spoken about strengths and weaknesses, goals, daily habits, and their leadership philosophies. In another month or two, I hope to brief you in person on where each of them stands.
As you know, we completed the first two lessons of the Frontline Leader Course (Foundations and Frameworks) Trust and Cohesion) with the eight teammates earlier this week and we’ll conduct the next two lessons on March 25th. I really look forward to seeing how they each learn and develop- leadership instruction for those that have never had it is like learning a new language or wearing glasses for the first time.
I am still interested in meeting with all four directors to discuss how the communication styles they learned about from their DISC assessments interact and affect the team dynamic. I have a report that will facilitate that discussion and I’ll coordinate with the directors to schedule a time in the next few weeks.
The team here at Horizon is at your service, should have further needs or would like to discuss any of the above in detail.
